Easy! Just intensify your
makeup and add
a touch of glamour! In this video, I had my neutral mauve day
look on and my foundation was mineral powder (watch how I apply my mineral foundation here).
I explain more in the video but here is the break down.
EYES
You're going to add intensity (which basically means more color) to
your neutral day look. Apply more depth
to the outer crease with the same color you used for your day
look and use a more prominent highlighting color on your brow bone.
Finally, pile on the mascara for super sexy lashes. I explain more in
the video.
EYEBROWS
Groomed eyebrows are essential for evening makeup. Most likely you'll
be in artificial light, ie, restaurant, theater etc., so don't forget
this important part of your face. Empty, hairless spaces will
nullify all the work done on your eyes so get this right. Don't
apply too much product though, just fill in the gaps. Use a shade that
is 1 to 2 tones lighter than your hair color.
FROM
DAY TO EVENING MAKEUP
CHEEKS
A little bronzer goes a long way in the evening. Apply it using the
slim your face technique and this
will instantly add a sun-kissed glow
to your face. You can wear bronzer all year round, it's such a
versatile product. Just make sure you select the correct shade for your skin tone and don't use too
much during the winter.
LIPS
A great lipstick or lipgloss is a must for evening. If you do nothing
else, do this. Elegant lips instantly say evening glamour. So, line
your lips
with a liner (choose a color that goes with whatever eyeshadow you're
wearing. I chose a deep rich, matte plum which is perfect for the
mauve/plum eyes I was wearing) and the apply
the lipgloss. If you use lipstick, apply a lipgloss over it to add a
little evening sparkle.
And that's it. See how easy it is to go from day to evening makeup?
