Makeup colors tricks can
resolve many problems we have with skin
discoloration, especially as we get older. Sun damage
and/or hormonal
adjustments will drain some color from your skin. It's inevitable.
There are, however, some clever makeup techniques you can use to
camouflage
the damage.
They tricks can
cover any imperfection you mights have, ie,
rosacea, blemishes
etc, and are regularly used my celebrity makeup artists. Ok
then, let's go back to school :-)
Pink cuts
Brown
Yes, that's right. Pink covers brown!
This is especially useful for dark skinned women, who have lots of
darkness on the eyelids. Instead of trying to cover the
darkness with a concealer or base, try a pastel
pink
based matte eye
shadow. A peachy pink is great for
this. It will instantly gently neutralise the darkness and even out the
skintone. As you apply it, watch the darkness disappear!
Orange cuts Blue
Blue is not a very attractive color to have on your skin, especially
under the eyes. That's why most concealers are orange based, they
neutralise blue. Apply some to your dark circles, but only there. You
can even use
a little orange lipstick (yes, lipstick!) and watch the
blue
disappear!
If you have wrinkles under your eyes, try a powder concealer. The
powder will not "sink" into your wrinkles as much as liquids or creams.
If you can, you should always use powder makeup during the hot
summer months to keep your makeup looking really natural.
Yellow/Green cuts Red
This is probably the most important makeup colors lesson. Many women
have
blemishes or rosacea on their skin. So, what is a great makeup for
rosacea or blemishes?
Yellow
(or green) concealer covers any redness. Try it, you'll be
amazed. MAC has a green concealer (comes in a small tube) which really
works. Dab it on your blemishes in tiny dots, don't put too much. Blend
well and apply foundation over it. I use this product and think it's
amazing at getting rid of any redness!
Many foundation are yellow-based nowadays, which should eliminate the
problem of red skin. I also use
Bare Minerals makeup foundation in
Medium Beige which reduces the unsightly flushes and makes my skin more
even.
If you have very intense blemishes, spider veins, sun spots or age
spots on your face, ty Outside
Health's Natural Skincare Creams. I use their Vein
Control Cream and love it (there's a buy 1 get 1 free promotion at the
moment).
Master the above three makeup colors rules and you'll use them forever!
