Invest
in your smile, it's the only one you've got!
How does teeth bleaching work
exactly? Basically, it's a procedure where the tooth enamel is painted
beyond the surface.
Note:
these bleaching products usually contain Glycerin, which can
cause
temporary tooth insensitivity, but is considered harmless.
Remember, you are investing in a beautiful,
confident smile so it's one
of the most important beauty decisions you'll make. Thankfully, the
days of expensive cosmetic dental costs are over. Nowadays you
can find cheap teeth bleaching kits to use in the comfort of your own
home.
What
Are Your Teeth Bleaching Options?
Paint
On Whitening: A cheap option which involves painting the
whitening product onto your teeth and waiting for it to dry. In two weeks,
moderate results can be seen. One of these products is Rembrandt
Whitening Want. I personally dislike this product because it's very
easy to miss a spot on your teeth but if you are very meticulous and
take your time, it can work for you.
Trays With
Bleaching Gels: This method is what you used to go to the
dentist for. You can do this yourself now, which is a relief. Many
established companies now offer this product with the same amount of
bleach formulation used by dentists. A mould is usually provided so
that the tray is the perfect imprint of your teeth. This ensures that
all surfaces are covered.
The procedure is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Put the gel
in the moulded trays, place the tray in your mouth and wait for the
determined period of time.
Here
are 2 pics of my teeth after the treatment, I will post a "before" pic
as soon as I find it (I never smiled before because of my yellow
teeth!). As you can see, my teeth are not perfect but they are white. I
used TheraBrite Plus Whitening Kit (which contains glycol instead of Glycerin. Glycol helps prevent tooth sensitivity issues).
Strips on
Teeth: This involves applying strips directly on
teeth and leaving for some time, even overnight. I personally don't
like this method because, again, it's very easy to miss spots
(especially between the teeth). Because of this, the results
are weaker, in my opinion.
So what's the verdict?
As you probably guessed by now, the trays
with bleaching gels are the best teeth whitening options. They produce professional results and last much longer.
